Maintenance of forklifts mainly includes daily maintenance, primary maintenance, secondary maintenance and tertiary maintenance. The specific contents and cycles are as follows:
Daily maintenance:
Check the amount of engine oil, fuel and coolant to ensure that they are sufficient.
Check the reliability of the brakes and handbrakes.
Check the tire pressure and wear.
Check the working condition of the vehicle's lights, horns and other electrical equipment.
Start the engine and check whether the working status of each system is normal.
Primary maintenance:
Replace the engine oil and oil filter.
Check and clean the battery, and add distilled water if necessary.
Check whether there is abnormal noise in the gearbox, drive axle and other components.
Tighten the tire bolts and check the oil level and pipe joints of the hydraulic system tank.
Secondary maintenance:
Replace the engine oil in the engine oil pan and crankcase.
Check and adjust the distributor contact gap.
Clean the fuel tank and pipelines, and check the discharge of the battery.
Drain the sediment in the working oil tank and clean the filter.
Level 3 maintenance:
Adjust the valve clearance and check the clutch performance.
Check the wear of the steering wheel and steering system.
Clean the forklift thoroughly, check and tighten all bolts and nuts on exposed parts.
The maintenance cycle is usually determined by the frequency of use and workload of the forklift. Routine maintenance should be performed every day, while level 1, 2 and 3 maintenance are arranged according to the number of hours of use, usually professional maintenance is performed after a certain number of working hours.
