Forklifts can be divided according to different classification standards, mainly including the following types:
Pallet forklift: It is divided into electric pallet forklifts and manual pallet forklifts, mainly used for cargo transfer inside and outside production lines and warehouses. Since it does not have a lifting gantry, it is suitable for flat handling scenarios.
Stacker forklift: Also known as a stacker forklift, it is used for loading and unloading, stacking, stacking and short-distance transportation of palletized goods. Stacker forklifts have a gantry, but do not have a cab like other lifting forklifts. They are mainly used for flexible handling and stacking operations.
Counterbalanced forklift: This is one of the most widely used forklifts. Its fork is outside the center line of the front wheel, and a counterweight is installed at the tail. It is suitable for loading and unloading, stacking and handling operations in ports, stations and enterprises. Counterbalanced forklifts are of two types: internal combustion and electric. Internal combustion forklifts have a larger market share, but they are noisy and polluting. Electric forklifts are suitable for indoor work, with low noise and no pollution.
Reach forklift : Its mast or fork can move forward and backward, and the maximum lifting height can reach 11.5 meters. Reach forklifts are suitable for warehousing, especially for storing and retrieving long and wide goods. They are flexible, easy to operate, and pollution-free.
Picking forklift : Also known as picking forklift, the operator can stand on the inner slide and move with the loading and unloading device. It is suitable for narrow passages and high-rise shelf warehouses. The lifting height of the picking forklift is 4 to 6 meters, and the turning radius is small, which is suitable for working in a small space.
Off-road forklift : Mainly used for outdoor operations, suitable for environments with poor road conditions, such as construction sites, gravel, sand, muddy and other terrains. Off-road forklifts have powerful engines and high load capacity, and are usually used in heavy industry and port container handling.
Heavy-duty forklift : Also known as large-capacity forklift, it has a high load capacity and can lift more than 13 tons. Heavy-duty forklifts are suitable for heavy industry and port container handling, with high load capacity and adaptability to complex working conditions.
Telescopic forklift: Equipped with a retractable boom, it is suitable for multi-row cargo stacking and destacking operations under complex working conditions. Telescopic forklifts have a good front view and low requirements for channel clearance height, and are widely used in factories, docks and other places.
Each of these categories of forklifts has its own specific application scenarios and technical characteristics, meeting the needs of different working environments.
