AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) is an automated guided vehicle, which can be classified into many categories according to different classification standards.
Classification by transfer method:
Submerged: Dive into the bottom of the material cart, automatically hook up and separate to achieve material delivery and recovery operations.
Traction: The material cart is pulled by the tail automatic hook up and release mechanism.
Backpack: Use rollers, belts or other methods to achieve material docking.
Lifting: The back-carrying platform can automatically lift the material and can run synchronously with the assembly line.
Forklift: Use an open forklift for material handling.
Classification by control form:
Ordinary AGV: Use a conventional control system.
Intelligent AGV: Use artificial intelligence technology for control, with a higher level of autonomy and intelligence.
Classification by load weight:
Lightweight AGV (less than 500kg)
Medium-load AGV (500kg~2t)
Heavy-load AGV (2t~20t)
Classification by navigation method:
Magnetic navigation AGV: Navigation by sticking magnetic tape on the road surface.
QR code navigation AGV: Navigation using QR code as a road sign.
Laser navigation AGV: Navigation by laser signal, accurate positioning, suitable for a variety of field environments.
Inertial navigation AGV: Navigation by gyroscope and ground magnetic nails, suitable for port logistics.
Other navigation methods such as visual navigation AGV and GPS navigation AGV.
AGV is widely used in many fields such as manufacturing, logistics and service industries. In the manufacturing industry, AGV is mainly used for loading and unloading of production lines, transfer between workshops and warehouses, and assembly work as a mobile platform on the production line. In the logistics industry, AGV is used for intelligent picking, displacement, transfer of storage systems, and assisting the entry and exit of small cars in modern stereo garages. In the service industry, AGV is used in many fields such as cleaning, catering, and medical care, and realizes human-computer interaction through technologies such as face recognition and voice recognition.
